challengesDon’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
“I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.”
Hebrews 13:5

One of the most difficult area’s of my life to find peace with is related to my finances. During the last few years there have been some tremendous challenges that seem to throw me off track. It allows me to be distracted from the promises of God.My character doesn’t present an effective witness thus hindering me from lining up with His annointing. What I come to realize is my perception of money has never lined up with the truth.
My truth was always predicated upon my knowledge from the world , family, friends, etc. It was always gaged by the value of what others had and how happy or content they were with it. If you complained about money it was status quo to do so , not realizing that its value determined your value. There was a great value for waste and a love to spend unnecessarily.
Once I became a Christian I still was unable to navigate this area of my life succesfully. Until recently I could not see past the extent of my financial burdens. I fell across a piece in Hebrews 13:5 that liberated my thoughts and set my mind on the kingdom mandate in this area of my life. The scripture in the passage says this,
Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, “I will never fail you. I will never abandon you”.

Hebrews 13:5
Upon receving this word my thoughts, actions, and choices, have became central to believing that my finances belonged to God . He is the one who is providing them. Psalm 24:1 proclaims that,

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to him.”

Once I began to recognize His relationship concerning my finances it began to shape my choices and decisions concerning those matters. For instance I didn’t have to lie to creditors, family, lenders, and myself, anymore. It birthed in me the value of an education, integrity on the job, and a giving nature that opens the door to receiving. Today my actions are not contingent upon what I can see. They rest in the loving arms of Him who did not forget me , forsake me or leave me.
I know that the challenges of our lives stem from the ability to provide from the extent of our natural resources. Unfortunately our resources can be depleted and challenge by a world rooted in narcissism( excessive self love) greed, hatred , lust and the forces of evil. Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to find peace and surrender to Him all. You will not be disappointed.

appointment small copy

On June 25,2009 these events or stories played out over the news. Two stories hit the news and entertainment cycle concerning the death of two prominent celebs of world wide fame. As the reports came in there was an air of unbelief concerning the timing of the deaths. I believe that God knows how to get our attention regarding the essence of our souls. The way I perceived these events led me to a couple pieces of scripture. These two scriptures can help all of us that are still here preparing for whats to come. Hebrews 9: 27 gives us this piece. It says; “And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”No matter where you are and who you are or what you are doing this appointment has already been made. It is written in the book of life concerning every one who is born. The key here is are we ready for the appointment? The only one who is privileged to know the time is God. Lets not get it twisted the hour is arriving. Jesus also refers to our appointment in Luke 12: 20. He blurts out this piece “You fool! This very night they [the messengers of God] will demand your soul of you; and all the things that you have prepared, whose will they be?” There is a tremdous amout of value in this statement. We do not know when that time will come. Are we prepared?
This evening I could not help but be overwhelmed by the two incredible talents that moved into eternity today. Most importantly were they ready for there eternal appointment? As we are bearing witness the appointment is not contingent upon how much money you have , who you know, or how iconic you are it is at the mercy and through the grace of a loving God , whose intentions are not for us to perish. The step into eternity is forever. There is no turning back. I pray that all who come to meet this appointment find the peace of God that passes all of our understanding. He will not put more on us than we can bear. It is up to us to make the choice so that he can bear it for us.
As I close I pray that God will comfort the families of Michael and Farah and that His mercy and grace find them at this difficult time. To all of us still here I pray that we find our purpose and begin the preparation for the transition into God’s eternal kingdom

In Jesus Name

liberte-3 small pThis piece makes it presence from the events that continue to strap the Republic of Iran. Humanity in its struggle to find peace has some very dramatic moments. Unfortunately lives are destroyed and lost during this epic struggle for human rights and dignity. There is a piece in the book of Acts in the 17 Chapter and 26,27 verse where the Apostle Paul illustrates a point. He bears witness to the wisdom of God concerning man and his habitation. He says;
“And He made from one [common origin, one source, one blood] all nations of men to settle on the face of the earth, having definitely determined [their] allotted periods of time and the fixed boundaries of their habitation” (their settlements, lands, and abodes), It is incredible how man and his ideals of what is right for nations and humanity seem to always end in tragedy. Lets set our hearts and minds to the Heavens and pray for a peaceful resolution to this age old problem. Lord have mercy on the souls who encounter this tragedy and the leaders who continue to try and justfy this evil. In Jesus name.

Fatherhood: Recipe For Success

Filed under: Uncategorized — mirhezimaging @ 4:30 am

father day piece copyIn the book of Malachi , the last verse of the Old Testament declares He will turn the hearts of the fathers to their children and the hearts of the children to their fathers: or else I will come and strike the land with a curse.

Malachi 4:6

This prophetic message was given to the Isrealites from Malachi refering to a message the prophet Elijah will deliver to God’s people before the coming of the Lord. That same message is for all of us who are adopted in by the seed of Abraham.  In faith we believe this message is applicable for all believers. Today the curse is amongnst us. It provides an impetus for our morally decaying nation which was founded in Jesus  name. Here are some numbers from a study released by the S.P.A.R.C. Separated Parenting Access and Resource Center.

61% of all child abuse is committed by biological mothers

25% of all child abuse is committed by natural fathers

(Statistical Source: Current DHHS report on nationwide Child Abuse

50% of mothers se no value in the fathers continued contact with his children

– See “Surviving The Breakup” by Joan Berlin Kelly

40% of mothers reported that they had interfered with the father’s visitation to punish them

– See “Frequency Of Visitation” by Stamford Braver, American Journal of Ortho psychiatry

63% of youth suicides are from fatherless homes

– U.S. D.H.H.S. Bureau of the Census

85% of all children that exhibit behavioral disorders come from fatherless homes

– Center For Disease Control

80% of rapist motivated with displaced anger come from fatherless homes

– Criminal Justice and Behavior, Vol 14, p 403-26

71% of all high school dropouts come from fatherless homes

– U.S. Dept. of Justice, Special Report Sept, 1998

– 85% of all youths sitting in prisions grew up in a fatherless home.

– Fulton County Georgia Jail populations  and Texas Dept of Corrections

Boys who grow up in father-absent homes are more likely that those in father- present homes to have trouble establishing appropriate sex roles and gender identity.

Source: Jack Block, et al ” Parental Functioning and the Home Enviornment in Families of Dovorce” , Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry

Translated, this means that children from a fatherless home are

  • 5 times more likely to commit suicide
  • 32 times more likely to run away
  • 20 times more likely to have behavioral disorders
  • 14 times more likely to commit rape
  • 9 times more likely to end up in a state operated institution
  • 20 times more likely to end up in prison

This is just a short list of the curse that God promised us when the hearts of fathers and their children are seperated. Brothers and Sisters in the body of Christ our children are crying out to us to keep the will of the father concerning the relationships we have with our children. Men submit to the authority that is above you. If you don’t know here is the answer God!!. Allow the Lord Jesus Christ to minister to your hearts. Confess him as Lord and watch as he transforms you home.  Without Him we have no chance in winning the battle set in the heavens to separate us from God. Women repent from your selfish motives and proclivities and encourage the fathers in the lives of your children. Not because of what the court order says or the financial situation, because it is the will of God concerning his precious gift, our children. Stats don’t lie, we do. The scripture in James 4:6 reminds us that God gives more grace to the humble and resisteth the proud. It is in that humility we will find life from our dead situations related to our children.  It also lays out in Matthew 5:5  “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth. The term meek is defined this way:

  • Showing patience and humility; gentle.
  • Easily imposed on; submissive
  • Mothers and fathers  when we  bear this property of the cross it has transforming properties that provide life to our life and the life of our children.

Lets stop our foolishness and repent from this cycle of violence the Kingdom of Heaven is suffering concerning our children. Scripture  reminds us from the days of John the Baptist  until now the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing and forceful men lay hold of it.

    Matthew 11:12

Lets get back through the blood of Jesus what is already ours. Its there for us. All we have to do is receive it in Jesus name.
